The ultimate embarrassment... losin to the Clippers. Yeah, go ahead and say, "They're not the same team they were last year. They're better..." But they are still one of the worst teams in the NBA, and WE lost to them. These last 2 days have been hell in terms of bein a Rox fan. Cato, the piece many viewed as the most crucial in order to have a good season, gets injured. Then, we lose to the Clipps. I guess you could tell that this game was gonna be weird when Hakeem got blocked by the rim on a WIDE OPEN dunk off a sweet pass from Mo Taylor. The Clipps shot less than 50% from the free throw line, and as the front page says, "BEGGED THE ROCKETS TO WIN". And we still lost. But, we did not lose till the final, final seconds. Even after Mobley's last shot, we still had a chance when Mo Taylor got the ball. We had about 4 to 5 secs left on the clock, but Mo apparently dint realize the time, and just threw it back up with one hand... the shot dint come close. If he had just known the time, he was pretty much open to get the rebound, come down, and put it back up. Still, the Rox aren't that bad at all. They just have bad luck. Walt Williams, Mo Taylor, and Cuttino Mobley all had off games. If just one of them was playin well, then we woulda had this game. Maybe if Cato was playin, he coulda stopped some of the drives by the Clipps... I don't know. All I know is that, we lost to the Clipps, and that is why I am up here at 12:00A.M. writin this post. ------------------ president of the dan langhi fan club.
Im not surprised, I expected them to lose this game. Are you saying that Mo had 4 to 5 seconds the last play and he could of went down to shoot it? Or is it something else The last play, rockets had like 2.5 seconds, Taylor got it threw a good pass to bullard who had a 3 that was off balance with a player coming at him and he airballed it. A loss is a loss though. No if this or that, Rockets lost to the clipps. ------------------ "You look a team that's been to the mountaintop like the Houston Rockets, I'm going to put pressure on myself to be the best possible player that I can be. With the pieces they already have in place and myself, we can do some amazing things next season." Maurice Taylor
Francis3 I was talkin bout the last "real" play we had to win where Cuttino drove and missed. But after the miss, Taylor coulda grabbed it, come down, and put it back up. Instead, he dint realize the time, and just threw the ball up with a 1 hand tip that dint come close. sorry if I confused u. ------------------ president of the dan langhi fan club.
