Ouch! Betting big money on the favourite is usually tough business. I know some professional gamblers who make their living on baseball and football season, and they always tell me that smaller, consistent bets on the fav's keeps you in the betting game longer. I'm thinking this guy wasn't a professional gambler, and probably just some billionaire tycoon who just wanted to impress his friends. Edit: Also I'm not 100% sure what your title is referring to.
