We need to consider giving up on Framber as the big game guy, he has proven over and over again to be a mental midget. When the chips are down, so is Framber.

Yeah, I'm not sold on Tucker long term paying him brinks cash for non-playoff performances. I'd rather take my chances on a replacement who is more clutch. I'd take Bregman over Tucker in the playoffs in a heartbeat.

Correct, he's not the guy. We "settled". That's a sure sign of an impending downfall.

And Dana Brown might very well be taking down this golden era of baseball.

Can’t blame Dana for any of it either. Montero and Hader were Crane & Co. signings.

Correct, Tucker is wholly underwhelming in the playoffs. Not sure why that is. And whatever that was that cost him 2+ months of the season is not a good look. Not sure what we are going to do regarding being aggressive to try to sign him.

The fact is, the Astros have too many players that are iffy now. Our pen is getting shelled, our starters are either going down or blow up innings, JV is out the door on a stretcher almost, and our bottom of the order sucks ass daily. We don't have a playoff caliber team that can go the distance without angels shinning down on us (and the umps take that away).

It's time for Tucker to be traded (he won't though) and Bregman to go. Use that cash for a true #1 starter and Framber will be fine at the #2.

Unfortunately we are stuck with Pressly and Hader so just have to hope they right that ship next year or two (with Pressly's vesting year).

The golden age is dwindling but can be reborn if smart. Too go all in right now will plummet this team to a rebuild faster, but we can't overpay to keep the same guys we have either. Not looking forward to barely missing or making the playoffs every year and early exits with a blown out budget too boot.

Wait Dana Brown was not the GM in January of this year?

    That's news to me.

He's past playoff performances has been bottom of the lineup production as well. He may snap out of it eventually but the Astros shouldn't be willing to throw him a large bowl of cash to find out. I think this may have started the conversation of initiating the "Life Without Tucker" program.

It's widely accepted that Crane ordered Brown to sign Hader because of his affinity for talent.
And of course, Montero was signed before Brown was here.

I wonder if Pena will continue to get worse. He’s fallen off each of the last 2 seasons. Both his bat and his glove. Shouldn’t pay him much when it comes time.

It’s been common knowledge Crane wanted Hader. Nook has confirmed this a million times.

It was the right move. This is why you signed him.

Hader has been a dud signing unfortunately. A very expensive one.

Baltimore about to get bounced in equally embarrassing fashion as us.

    Baltimore is done.

KC was definitely no better option for us to play.

Orioles 0-5 in the last 2 post seasons. Ouch.

Time to move on from your manager.

Orioles went out sadder than we did. 1 run in 2 games.

It wasn’t the “right” move. It was the robot move. He should’ve known.

Selective memory. Take a look at his 2022 playoff performance. The Astros don’t win the World Series without him. They don’t make the ALCS without him in 2020.

H’s inconsistent, but has pitched like an ace in big games plenty of times.
