Only have to win today or tomorrow won't happen. No pressure.

Hinch probably felt like he was unjustly fired & the Championship runs are because of him. Maybe.

Hardly something to feel disappointed about? It's a 3-game series man, lol. Yes, we have a postseason pedigree, yada yada yada. But it's still a short series and they got a key win yesterday.

It can't be this bad. I didn't feel good when the Phillies were up 2-1 in the World Series. And I was feeling good when we were up on the Nationals 3-2 in WS.

point being it's not as if they choked or underperformed relative to their talent level

I would argue we underperformed against their hittable bullpen, though. Sure, Skubal is elite and there's no shame in not getting to him. But their bullpen looked getable.

I don't wanna be a negative nelly, but I think it ends today. This team is missing the killer instinct. 2022 or even the 2023 team would have walked it off in the 9th yesterday.

I would rather Meyers started vs a left hander and saved Heyward for a spot later in the game vs a righty.

Maybe they expect Holton to be out before J-Hey hits? This guy only averages 1 1/2 innings per outing. Hopefully the Astros can get that far early.

Other than that I like the lineup, considering.

This team needs to upgrade the 6-7/8 spots in the lineup for next year, though.

The best pitcher in the game on the hottest team. It was never going to be simple.

I feel better about a lineup and outfield that doesn't include Myers and Dubon right now. At some point, they're going to do something about Myers noodle arm. It's just not viable any more to watch him bounce throws into the infield on plays that should at least be competitive.

99.9% of this board was also feeling good being up 3-2 against the rangers last year.

It would be nice to have a 5 tool player at every position.

Leon has a cannon for an arm. Maybe he would have made the roster if he struck out in ONLY 30% of his ABs. instead of 50%.

Meyers (and Chas who always gets a pass for some reason) can't throw. But they are MLB caliber in important areas that the other options aren't.

I would love to see the Astros make a run at Robert this offseason and move Meyers in a package deal for young controllable player who is a better fit (once CF is filled).

If Hinch really takes umbrage to being caught cheating and being held accountable, then I'm glad he's gone. But I don't think that's the case.

I think it's more the fact that he was singled out when so many other organizations had similar systems but got off Scott free, while he (and Luhnow) were made the scapegoats in Houston.

Is this true? Need to know so I can bet against the Astros to make the easiest money in history because there’s zero chance Houston wins today’s game if those 2 poisonous pieces of **** are there.

Haven’t we established our best line up is Breggy 2 hole and Tucker 4th?

regardless, if ever there was a time to remind MLB who we are, it would be today. This calls for an absolute smack down and embarrassment of the Tigers. Let’s do it
