I'm at work, but they are saying we MAY get to leave early. However, the cool boss who normally lets us go early is out today and the boss that is here is the type that would let us go 10 minutes early and expect us to be thankful for it... Friday, however, the idiot boss is out and the cool boss is back. So, although I have to show up (most likely with a massive hangover), I don't expect to be here much past noon. Are you working today? What about Friday? Who has to work tomorrow?
*Raises Hand* I work for a contractor engineering company so all my hours are billed, so getting to go "early" is not usually an option. However, I worked a little late on Monday so that I might leave an hour early today because we are going out of town.
Been here since 5:30A as usual. The markets are only open half day on Friday, so I'm looking forward to that. My office is eerily quiet today.
working a full day today, off friday. although I'm tempted to leave early today and play a round of golf.
work today, have no idea about early release in the past when the supervisor says early and early is 4:30 i decline no work friday and am taking monday off hell mf yes
yea...i'm working and we usually get to leave a few hours early. i'll be pissed if we have to work a full day but i don't think that will happen. more than half the work force isn't even here from what it seems. barely anything is getting done today. i know that much.
I'm here at work... at least until 2. Brought my guitar along, so I'm sure I'll be getting a lot done.
Since I've joined the working world, I've learned that Thanksgiving is a holiday for children. In school, you get a week off. In real life, you work until 5 PM on Wednesday. And while you may have Friday off, you may drop by the office.
Yep. Working. What's absolutely weird is ever since this summer my worked has slowed to a crawl...maybe averaging 15hrs a week. And this week I'm slammed up against the wall with 18hr work days...sheeeesh. No doubt it's going to be a late night tonight too.
I'm here for the whole day. Client is in Cali, so I gotta be on their schedule. Plus they owe me some deliverables that will keep me working over the break. I will have a pitcher of beer for lunch. No one's here to stop me.
