Back at it again. I'm here for the "WTF is Dusty doing" mantra, the winning, the rage, and the joy of Astros' baseball.
Lineup prediction: Pena SS Alvarez LF Bregman 3B Tucker RF Abreu 1B Diaz DH McCormick CF Dubon 2B Maldy C
Dubon is penciled in as the 2b starter. I’m betting he starts at 3 out of every 5 games the first month. If his bat is dismal and Hensley shows to be an average 2b he’ll get a shot in the second month.
Hot Take: Chas McCormick will have a PA today that Cease throws only sliders. Chas will not swing at any of them. Not sure if Chas walks or strikes out.
Houston Chonicle: " The Yankees, meanwhile, announced Wednesday the launch of a direct-to-consumer app for its YES Network with a monthly cost of $24.99 and an annual subscription of $239.99." Will the Astros do something similar once the Astros and Rockets reach agreement on Network transfer?
With Framber on the mound, does Dubon start at 2nd for his defense or are the Astros going with the better bat in Hensley. Looking forward to seeing the batting order today.
Doubtful. I'd guess current agreements to have game on cable providers prevent this and the Astros and Rockets don't have the clout to be able to break those agreeements and support themselves in this manner.
The current agreement will be transferred over to Astros and Rockets within weeks or months according to Houston Chronicle. "Officials familiar with the negotiations say the parties hope to reach an agreement on the network transfer within weeks or months but said it is likely that Warner Bros. Discovery will continue operating the channel for much if not all of the baseball season." " The Yankees, meanwhile, announced Wednesday the launch of a direct-to-consumer app for its YES Network with a monthly cost of $24.99 and an annual subscription of $239.99." This years games will be on AT&T SportsNet Southwest but I wonder how it looks looking 2-3 years down the road. I can see the Astros creating an monthly/annual subscription or at lease exploring it once they have the TV rights.
