Just what the doctor ordered to hopefully get back on track before hosting the Bills, and our shot at redemption.
The great Billy Walters said a team that’s coming off a Monday night game (jags) and is now a road dog (jags) is basically a dead team walking! Jags 16 Texans 28 Stroud 9 straight games (including playoffs) without a 300 yd game. I think he gets that Sunday
Pederson is coaching for his life. I expect he’ll use a bunch of stunts and work our interior D who subsequently can’t handle stunts. He’ll Play cover two (like everyone in the NFL) and force CJ to dink and dunk his way down the field in the hopes of getting Tunsil and the Oline to commit penalties. They’re gonna single out Pitre as the weakest link and scheme to exploit him in coverage. We’ll get more sacks but they’ll be negated by Trevor feasting on our soft coverage. Jags win and Pederson lives to fight another day.
I'm anticipated at least 4 sacks in this game and an interception or two. This should be a big win for us. Trevor is the turnover King, and we have the talent on defense to rattle his cage. Our defense is ranked 10th against their 27th ranked defense. Our power ranking is #8 and they are #28. The Jaguars have converted just 21.9% of their third downs through three weeks, the third-worst mark in the league. We should dominate this team if our coaches and offensive line don't make stupid mistakes. The only way we lose this game is by completely handing it over by stupidity, lack of focus, and lack of effort.
Thats exactly what I am thinking, my trust in the offensive line has me doubting everything at this point OR maybe it's my old Texans PTSD coming back and biting me in the ass
Jacksonville is Houston's b****. If the Texans can't dominate these chumps at home, then there are serious, SERIOUS problems going forward.
Sadly, I think so. A humiliating loss taking them to 0-3. 0-4 means they are basically done. They will be fighting for their season lives. Any given week at home and Jags on a short week I would say we destroy them. But we have to be a bit shaken after the b**** slapping we got last week, and they are going to be desperate. I hope we win but its going to be ugly. We do own them though.
Jags will come in "desperate." You can expect their BEST game of the season (which isn't saying much). If the Texans lose this one, then we have big trouble in river city.
Texans need to get an early lead and the doubts will sap the Jags energy. This should be two desperate teams, not one.
Whenever I think the Texans will win easily, they don’t. I hope that changes this week. I expect breakout games from multiple players.
