Hopefully VY will be able to play -- I think everyone will agree that will add a bit more excitement to the brewing rivalry.
I love the Texans, but they can't score in the red zone (touchdowns) to save their collective lives. Their defense can't seem to stop anyone either. Jesus or Collins should have no problem maintaining against this team. The Titans defense is pretty tough. Regretfully: Texans - 9 Titans - 27
We need a win and then a split at San Diego and Oakland so that we can be 5-4 coming off the bye with only the game at Indy looking like a loss
I'd take 5-11 from the Texans if those 5 wins were 2-0 against the Toilers, 2-0 against Jax, and 1-0 against the Cowpokes.
Hope Vince is healthy... cause even if Collins throws for 500 yards with 6 TD's in a t*** loss the VY chowder and marching society will claim they missed his leadership. What will probably happen is he will play..but if the Texans win the Jock Riders will claim its because VY was less than 100 percent.
VY is going down this time. Story book ending last time but this one, VY meet Super MARIO and Amobi Luigi!
Well we can only do best split with J-Ville this year. This game if the Texans O doesn't get it together may set the record for offensive yardage yet, few points. Right now, we have to be one of the greatest offenses between the 20's yet, the bottom line is the scoreboard. Should be another wonderful defensive struggle in the AFC South. Hopefully, the 3 phases of the game and their coaches took umbrage to the debacle in J-Ville and will come out with some accidental pride. That was flat embarrassing. Got to win the home games. Texans 20, Titans 10 (If Collins is QB) Texans 20, Titans 16 (If VY is QB) Just win, Texans! No bullsh*t like last week.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, with exception the NO game, the Titans haven't even scored more 24 since, right? Just checking. Like I said, no offensive jugernauts, here. It'll probably be a grind. Unfortunately, especially if no AJ again. Titans 13, Jags 10. Colts 22, Titans 20. Titans 31, Saints 14. Titans 20, Falcons 13. Bucs 13, Titans 10
On the other hand, both Atlanta and the Jags scored season highs for points against the Texans. What on earth happened to the defense that looked so good for the 2nd half of last year and the first few games this year?
2 things 1) No running game to keep the D off the field. 2) D cant get off the field on third down. I was so mad when Jax got that 3rd and 17 last week. This D is putting themselves in bad spots by not getting off the field. It has to change this week in order to win.
It's what happens when your running game sucks! If Green goes down again and we are saddled with slow and slower again, we're screwed! Schaub is making plays just not within the red zone because he cannot go with the play action because our running game is no threat. He's passing the ball more and thus, risking more chances for sacks and negative plays. We are limited as to what we can do and that bogs down the offense and thus, the D is spending WAY too much time on the field. The Jags had the ball for 13 of 15 minutes in the second quarter! For the game, I bet the Jags had the ball for at least 37 to 38 minutes! Kinda hard to win when you don't have the ball and your D is gassed! What can I say, Faggins screwed us again when we ACTUALLY had a chance to get off the field with the score only 16-9 and oops, a bonehead defensive penalty and then 23-9. Then, more pressure on Schaub to make a play and then... disaster. One thing I would like to see is have DeMeco blitz 4 to 6 times a game. Everytime he blitzes, he's so quick, most RBs can't get over to block him, if he doesn't get the QB himself he usually aids in a positive play for someone else on the D. Again, just a thought ...
i think the texans feel like they don't have adequate safeties to aloow them to blitz that often without getting punished downfield.
Yeah, but why not try it anyway? It's not like the approach they've used the last three weeks has worked. It's been horrible.
Agreed. Got to try something different. Mix it up make it at least appear to be actually putting the opponents offense on edge. Take the game to them, if you get beat, you get beat. Sometimes, you just have to roll the dice. You may roll snakeeyes but, you may roll a 7 or 11. The D is not making enough an impact on the game even when they're on the field. The last few weeks, they lollygag around and give up too many scoring chance and then shut em down in the second half (last game of course, the exception). Like I said, DeMeco seems to be our best option on the blitz. D-Rob can come in on a few as well. We aren't surprising anyone with our schemes. Got to try something else. Watching 7 to 8 minute drives downfield is like a slow, painful death.
I think vince will play, waiting to hear reports today. This should be an entertaining game, but I think the titans win by double digits. Titans 30 Texans 17
