What the hell is up with our pitchers having “neck discomfort”? Part of me doesn’t believe that **** and it’s something worse.

Javier had “neck discomfort” and the next thing you know he’s having Tommy John.

Neck discomfort is a lot better than elbow discomfort when dealing with pitchers these days.

So this is why Brown was saying he is on the market for starting pitching...

Tommy John coming if Javier was any precedent.

In the last week or so there's been at least 2 other MLB pitchers miss a start due to the same thing. It happens.

Worst thing you could do is try and pitch through and compensate for something that will affect your mechanics...that's a good way to **** up your arm.

Javier knows neck discomfort -- then he made 3 starts in 22 months.

A respected poster said JV would eat innings before he returned. I said JV's inning-eating days are over. He's been injured 4 of the last 5 seasons, completely missing two of those years. He's a 85 PC guy who needs a 6-man rotation. Only chance he gets to 300 is from the bullpen -- Smoltz-style or with an opener who pitches 2 innings, then JV enters to throw 3-4 innings.

What's next right now... France (barf) ?? -- Dubin/Seth/Scott 3 innings every appearance?

Astros need another starter. Garcia and Lance can't return soon enough.

Astros are setting the record for SP injuries.

It’s very difficult for me to believe this team is about to go on some great run. Just too much to overcome

Rangers went from a top- 5 draft pick to a parade in 1 year. I'm resigned to the seemingly inevitable this season. It's not the end of the world.

Only real downside for me is it's making the wait for football season seem that much longer.

There is a $2M buyout ONLY IF GETS FEWER THAN 50 APPEARANCES

Once he gets 50 appearances, the $14M in 2025 becomes guaranteed, just like Jose Abreu's $19.5M is.

Giving JV extra rest can only help.

As long as he is good to go for his next turn.

Arrighetti has been good and is on regular rest.

He needs to avoid the IL to get his option to vest.

57 innings down, 87 to go.

With the Stros luck it'll turn out to be thoracic outlet syndrome.

Brown has no idea what we are in the market for

Pretty sure he just runs the farm

    .
There are lies in truths and truths in lies, Fox.

McCullers also had neck discomfort before one his forearm injuries.
Dallas missed about a month after his which gave us the summer of the rat.
