A review of existing studies was carried out to help sufferers of 'small penis syndrome'. Dr Kevan Wylie, from the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and Ian Eardley, from St James’s Hospital in Leeds, studied international research carried out in the area since 1942. They found that men often have a better body image and increased sexual confidence if they have a large penis. And worries over size do not go away even for men of average length. But their review, published in the journal BJU International, found women are not as bothered about a man's size. While 85 percent of women were satisfied with their partner’s size, only 55 percent of men felt it was big enough. Studies found that penis size was behind grooming and personality on a woman’s list of desirable attributes. The research also noted that “small penis syndrome” is much more common among men with normal-sized penises than in those who have really small ones - a length of less than 7cm (2.7in). In one study, 63 percent of men who thought theirs was small blamed childhood comparisons with friends while 37 percent blamed viewing erotic images as teenagers. They also found anxious men went to desperate lengths to make themselves longer, even though there is little evidence that lengthening tools worked. Wacky practices that take place around the world to attempt lengthening include hanging weights from the penis and encouraging snakes to bite it. Dr Wylie said he hopes their research will reduce men's anxiety. He said: “It is very common for men to worry about the size of their penis and it is important that these concerns aren’t dismissed as this can heighten concerns and anxieties. “It is helpful to normalise the situation and provide as much accurate information as possible, as many men either lack any information or have been misinformed.”

I don't buy it because it the study was done by men. Most likely English men with really bad teeth. I want a study done by Lucy Pinder, Michelle Marsh, Keeley Hazell, Sophie Howard and Nichole Van Croft with them saying size doesn't matter. Then and only then will I believe it.

When they measure someone's penis, is it while they're saluting or sleeping? Because 2.7 inches of saluting is just... I mean... Damn!
Mine is too dangerous to measure directly. The only alternative is to measure its shadow, assuming you can correctly position it as to not cause a solar eclipse.
