Tonight was my second in person taste of the Kuchi. My first was his as an Astro - 8 straight K. How sweet it is!
Angels are in their worst stretch of the season. 3-14 in their last 17. Of course the last time Astros faced them, they were on their hottest streak of the season.
And that's why this Kikuchi trade must result in a trip to the World Series at minimum. So far, so great.

Astros ended August with a .185 batting average against, as reported 2nd greatest month recorded in the history of baseball. We gave up 5.9 hits per game during August. As a reference point the toughest pitcher to ever get a hit off of, Nolan Ryan, gave up an average of 6.55 hits per 9 innings during his career. So what the Astros did in August was the equivalent of vintage Nolan Ryan pitching all 28 games for all 9 innings. Speechless.
Angels just tried a suicide squeeze with no ****ing outs and the dude literally bunted it on top of the plate. Ended up a double play wow.
