The CC.net Sim League will hold the draft Live in the chat starting Wedensday June 27th at 2pm BBS time.

But every pick has to be posted here in this thread to be official. We will do this so everyone will know who has been drafted, and also to help anyone with problems being in the chat so they can make their pick when their turn comes.

If you are not available to make to the chat or make your picks in this thread, you will have to send a draft list to Cat so he can draft from your list, or make arrangements (make Cat aware of them) for others to select for you. The Cat will not select for anyone but himself, and if you're not there to make your pick or have made other arrangements you will lose your pick. So if you fear that your ISP could sell you out, then a backup plan is nice to have.

    Draftorder

The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

Just bringing this thread back to the top with some further info:

To keep the draft going each pick is limited to around 5 minutes for trades and scouting. But try to do most of your scouting in advance so you know who you want to pick when your pick is up. It is also appreaciated if the pick is made as soon as possible if you do not need the time.

Those who think they might trade their pick should try to find deals ahead of their pick that can be executed as the pick comes up if the player you want is not there no more, while the next few players you want should be available at a lower pick. So if anyone wants Eddie Griffin but find out that he is not there when you pick at 4, 5, etc. and your next target should be available at #13 please give me a call. [IMG]

We have 39 picks that we need to get finished, so if we could manage an average of 3 mins per pick we will be done in 2 hours.

Even for those of you without a pick it is recommended to show up in the chat as these live drafts have always been full of tradetalk and trades.

Wouldn't it make more sense to do it in the evening when more people will be free? I know wednesday evening wont work but I mean I am sure I'm not the only one who has to work then.

    Johny,

The fun of the draft is to do it on the real draft day. We advertise the league for free too, cause numerous other people are sure to come by. [IMG] All other drafts in this league will be in the evening, but this is the exception. We usually have high attendance for the afternoon chats anyway. Just send me a list if you can't be here.
