Have you seen Arrighetti pitch lately? . Even aside from the JV substitution start, he's not been great. But in all seriousness, hopefully they win both games. They will need to bring more of their pretty good offense to tomorrow's game to win. I'll be going to the game, praying the rosary and just praising the Lord with my wife. Let's pray for a good harvest.
Going to the game on Wednesday. Last home game I went to was in August 2023. We lost 17-1 to the Red Sox.
Don't you worry, we got our boy ARRIGHETTI goin' tomorrow. Not to worry! (hopefully we will not worry too much).
Got swept in a 4-game out the gate. Astros have been 12 games below 500 twice -- April 25th after the Cubs series (7-19) and May 8th after game 2 in the Bronx (12-24).
I try to avoid this board during a losing streak as it typically is a downer. Really hope the Astros keep winning. I've feel I left Chas to the wolves. He's back as the favorite whipping boy among non-crappy Astros as his fWAR dropped below 3 fWAR per 150 games earlier this season before bouncing back.
correct. Astros have not been above 0.500 all year this year. Thinking back of the game where Framber went rogue and up 3 runs in ET against Giants were gut puncher.
Need Diesel to keep Diesel-ing. Need Arrighetti to find that out pitch he's been looking for. I really think he needs more time in AAA and will be a great contributor down the road, if we weren't so damn injured we wouldn't need him up here.
Teach me how to Dougie, Teach me how to Dougie, Teach me how to Dougie, Teach me how to Dougie, Teach me how to Dougie, Teach me how to Dougie...
Luckily we have Monday and Thursday off this week, so we can go 4 starters and hopefully JV returns in time to join the rotation next week at some point.
No excuses true, but Arrighetti hasn't been lights out either. I'm thinking Arrighetti is due for a better outing and hopefully it's against the Rockies.
