Okay rockets fans i wanted to start this thread so we could all have a source to vent or recieve rockets news concerning those 2 Positions, one of which will be filled by Battier or Tmac. Now from what i have heard Battier will be our PF next season and i am fine with that, but that leaves a hole at the 2 guard spot there have been rumors that Stephen Jackson, Bonzi Wells, Jamaal Crawford, Flip Murray, Trevor Ariza, and even Stevie Francis might be options! If any of you have heard some of this news recently, or you would just like to tell your plan of action, then please go ahead!
i think we MUST have stephen jackson. Every team he is on seems to be a contender so hes not cancer like j-hoe(whereas every team he has been on has lost.) He also has that fire and intensity in him(artest brawl-stuck up for his teammate). he has a ring. And he will be our starting 2. Trade J-hoe for Stephen straight up or throw something in there to appease them. They dont even want him and they have a ****load of wing players. They also need a back-up 4. In all seriousness juwan is a quality back up(NOT A STARTER).
Juwan Howard made the playoffs with WAS, DAL, and HOU. Stephen Jackson was on a horrible ATL team. Besides, if everything you said it true, why does Indy do it?
i didnt know about juwan making the playoffs someone else told me that. But Stephen was also an integral part of the spurs second championship. And the reason why they would do it is because Larry Bird hates the guy. He was obviously frustrated with him in press conferences last year. salaries match perfectly also you could throw a 2nd rounder if you want to and like i said they need a quality back-up 4 with croshere gone and pollard a free agent.

why does everyone mention stephen jackson? I wouldn't mind having him, but is he for sale? I haven't seen anything outside this board.
I guess it is because Indiana doesn't like him and they have like a bunch of guards especially if the Bonzi rumor is true
There have been rumors that Flip Murray and Trevor Ariza are options. The only times I've seen Stephen Jackson, Bonzi Wells, Jamaal Crawford or Steve Francis mentioned is here on this board by people asking "Is this possible?" or throwing out wild trade possibilites. That hardly constitutes a rumor. If there has been mention that we're talking to the agents of any of those players in any respectable media source I'd sure like to be linked to them asap. And I'm actually going to agree with Antisari, what's so official about this?
