Official Rockets/Clutch Fans Bar - What does it take?

Okay Guys,

First off if this is in the wrong area feel free to move it guys. Thanks in advance.

As most of you already know from last year when i held the Rockets viewing party, that I am one of the Owners of Live Sports Cafe here in Downtown Houston.

I am sitting here at work on a moderate day which isn't too crowded and coming up with some ideas for the upcoming season and how to better serve the Rockets Fans and the Houston Fans in general. I want to get everyones opinions on how i can make my bar better suited for you guys to leave your houses and actually come up here more and make the place more of a Clutch Fans hang out where you guys can watch the games and stuff. I know that a lot of you might go to BW3's and other places but i was just wondering what suggestions you might have.

The Rockets viewing party i did last year went really great and it worked out good for Clutch Fans as well since i donated sales to the Tip Jar.

I had a few ideas and i will run them by you and please feel free to add your own that way i can take them to my partners and see what they think and i will ultimatly make a desicsion on what to do so that more of you come out etc.

i will still throw bigger viewing parties for games that are of meaning of course so we can have a bit of fun, but i am more looking at people coming here before and after games to enjoy themselves and actually get a cheap drink instead of a $9 one at the game

1. I already have a great Happy Hour that goes till 7 so don't think i can do a drink special becuase if you do come it's probably before a game which starts at 7 anyways so you can come before and get them.

2. make like a discount card for Clutch Members and give them a specific discount that they always will recieve when they come in during Rockets games and other times as well just to say thanks.

3. All sales by clutch members, i will take a percentage of and donate to the tip jar that way we can keep this community going. and of course they will be bigger if we throw the bigger viewing parties.

Those are a few things of course that i have on my mind. Please give me your feedback and keep the thread alive so i can get it ready for the upcoming season.

I am planning on doing a big viewing party for the first game of the season if you guys would like and we can make sure and have some fun with some Shot specials to get you nice and tipsy before tip off.....Thanks in advance from all of you guys.

Hey what's up. There is only one and it's the one in downtown and yes the prices had to do with the all star weekend cause for our happy hour we have $2 pints and $6 Pitchers with $3 wells so it's not bad and that goes all the way till 7 and after that it's only like a dollar more for pints so it's not bad at all.

Just want to see everyones ideas and come up with a way to get a card designed and made and have them here and hand them out to all the members so they can use them anytime.

 

NBAHOU713 - i am usually here every day after 4 PM. During the weekends like Friday and Saturday i leave by about 9 PM or so. Let me know what day your coming by and stuff. This friday i should be there later cause i have a friends birthday on the patio.

Hippieloser - I think the discount card thing will really work well where you get a certain % of your tab at the end of the night any time your there.

 

NBAHOU713 - We can probably do what we did for the viewing parties and reserve the big tables right in front of the big screens for the Clutch fans or maybe even the back room that has the Plasam tv but i think the main bar is a better place but it's really up to everyone.

Yeah i will be there more of the time and if the other manager is there i will make sure the managers all know. But i think i will make the cards to give out to all the members that way even if i am not there we can get you the discounts.

Maybe even rocketeer or someone can design one lol....

 

Well Crown is $6 bucks at my place cause we are in downtown. We do have different food specials and all during the week. But with the discount card i am sure it will help out. Still we can work things out =)
