The Rays always play hard - and they as an organization do a good job getting players ready to compete.... so would really "need" 3 out of 4 to feel good - don't want to press my luck wanting a sweep.
I want to say we get swept because of lowered expectations. But we ain't doing worse than a split at home.
Gusto and Gordon are gonna get at least a handful of starts and they will be huge for their careers. I think Gusto has good enough stuff that he could hang around the league as a reliever and get another shot at starting, but for Gordon this may be his one real shot to earn a steady spot in the league. With his stuff if you fail the league tends to move on from you very quick.
That being said, I'd love to see Walter get another shot. His stuff looked better than Gusto and Gordon. Definitely passed the eye test.
Totally agree!!! They always seem to have fresh guys on some platoon situation. They are also running hot in the East.
Ahh yes Just how we envisioned it to begin the year. Clean up hitter victor caratini with Jake Myers hitting 5th
Last 29 games Astros 4.76 runs per game That would be good for 8th place overall in the majors full season. Pair that with the 8th best ERA and you're going to win a lot of games.
