Please keep this to talk about the series. As usual no Play-by-Play, or general Astros talk. If you need play by play see one of the many other sites that have game casts. 4-23 Paul Maholm (1-1, 4.58) vs. Roy Oswalt (1-2, 2.37) 7:05 on FSH 4-24 Chris Jakubaiskus ( 0-0 0.00) vs. Wandy Rodriguez (0-2,4.67) 6:05 on FSH 4-25 Charlie Morton (0-3, 16.55) vs. Brett Meyers (0-1, 4.05) 1:05 on FSH
Somehow there is always some of that. This will either be a sweep like it should be based on pitching matchups, or a return to the reality that we do in fact suck.
I can live with some of it, especially if it isn't during a game. That part of the post came from a few years ago someone making a post for every batter. Then it escalated into a post for every pitch. As long as it is a productive conversation and not an obvious post pad or a trolling I generally let it slide.
Well said, I would personally rather all Astros talk throughout the season was kept to the series threads, makes it easier to follow
I can see Keppinger being a genuine regular double play machine in the 2 hole. Don't think we have a 2 hitter on the roster, Matsui's style is ideal but unfortunately he majorly sucks
Looks like I'm the only sad sac sitting on my laptop watching baseball on a Saturday night. In my defense, it's 1.40am and I have already been out for a good drink and a game of poker tonight, now I'm home and enjoying the game, anyone else about? Roy looks sharp!
Awesome night at the ballpark...the crowd was actually pretty decent. Somehow we got sandwiched in between this Japanese tour group...so we might have actually been on tv...but we ended up moving over a section cause it felt a little crowded there. This team isn't looking half bad though, and that's with Lee and Pence struggling pretty damn hard still.
With a win today we would have the same record as the Pirates. A sweep and we are finally out of the cellar.
No actually, Patti Smith, who's always doing fan interviews during Rockets games, she interviewed them during the game. So it had to have been on the Astros broadcast. I have no idea if we were seen, but when they stood up to cheer during the interview, my wife and I felt a little funny!
Berkman lined the ball so hard off the back of the Pirates' pitcher's head that it ended up coming straight back and landed behind the catcher. The pitcher was on the ground and kicking his legs in pain for a couple of minutes. He's up now and appears to be OK.
Scary...that could have just as easily been lights out for him...a ball hit that hard. Good to see him get up on his own power...with some help.
Saw it while eating looked really bad but couldn't hear anything. If it was the top of the head it probably hurt horribly.
