Same time last year, Astros swept the O's at home.

    Just keep winning series...

You're predicting a loss in the game McCullers is pitching at home, where he thrives, versus a TBA? Or just saying we win two of three in general?

I don't think he will a part of the decision. 2-1 loss late or something similar. Hoping for a sweep though!

Good to see DK penciled right back in.

If we had any concern I'm sure they would be on the side of caution at this point in the year.

I'm hoping for a couple more "pinched nerves" this season. Can't hurt to minimize his innings should the standings stay relatively the same...LMJ, too.

I grew up in maryland. My closest friends are Oriole fans. Before the Astros switched to the AL, the O's were my favorite AL team.

I spend the whole season talking smack with one of these friends. I love when we play the Orioles. Hate when we lose. Must sweep!

What parallel universe is this? It's like letting Jason Castro go lifted a great weight off the back of the lineup.

I think it's more the fact that we never have to see this again:

Another good test against a good team.

    Good to see Keuchel's return.

Bullpen is on alert with Musgrove going tonight. Devo should be ineligible, with Hoyt being 1st option for multiple innings.

    Bats need to bat.

I quite enjoyed seeing that earlier this year. I hope to see it again a few times when the Rangers are trying to win the wild card. Oops, I may be invoking the wrath of the disgruntled announcer.

Centeno became the first Astro to homer in his first 2 games.

If he homers his next game, guess what happens. ;)

He hopefully has to wait a while for that 3rd HR.

Also, if anybody wants to see something weird, go to BR and compare Fiers & Musgrove. Outside of HR allowed, they are virtually identical across the board, both counting stats and the advanced.

For whatever reason, Musgrove hasn't looked as crappy to me. I know he's been crappy, I watch him be crappy, but Fiers just seems crappier. He's not, I guess he works so much more slowly that I have extra time to ruminate on his crappiness.

Perception-wise: I think Musgrove has been more up and down--both start-to-start, and even within starts (remembering when he gave up 4 in the 1st and then went 5 scoreless). Consistently having those "highs" make you (also me) believe he's been better than he has. Fiers, OTOH, has been the same guy in 7 of his last 8 starts--rarely, if ever, having a dominant or easy inning. (I'm leaving out his first start of the year because it's recency bias that makes him seem worse, as you said.)

In reality, Musgrove's good stretches, along with his age & potential to extend those good stretches for longer periods make it seem more likely that he'll improve sooner than Fiers, who has been around the block
