I'm so excited for this game but mostly for the regular season! I heard ratings are going to be a little bit more down this year... Any info on the ratings at all?
None yet, 2K is usually slow this time of year. They barely have any videos of 2k10, I can bet the demo won't come out until at least next week (they usually like to release it late). But ratings would be found here: http://www.gamerankings.com/xbox360/960357-nba-2k10/index.html I'm pretty excited too... pre-ordered the anniversary edition.
I'm not buying a basketball game this year.. Too many quirks playing online and in general that make the game unbearable. Bounce passes in the lane??! WTF! STOP IT! I WANTED A SIMPLE CHEST PASS! LeBron dunking 24/7? WTFFF! Stupid missed layups that hit the side of the rim and just fall off?? WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT??? /rant
I know. I will buy it this year just because I havn't gotten one since 2k8. Lebron and Kobe just dunk all day and you can't stop it. The online play can be quite frustrating.
Before anyone swears off buying a basketball game this year, I suggest you at least try the 2K10 demo when it comes out. The gameplay in the Draft Combine mini game is noticeably improved over last year's game.
Please take notice of the facial expressions etc......and let me know if you think they are improved and make the game better. Thanks, DD
Is this for Live or 2K10, and is it for created players and free agent scrubs, or just common players and stars? I noticed no improvement in faces while playing the Draft Combine for 2K10.
Ah yeah well I heard that also then. They are lowering the scale for the ratings below 50 unlike 2k9.
I'm excited as hell about this game. The graphics look awesome, as always, but they fine-tuned some stuff, such as the random double teams and more signature moves that leads to better AI. I've heard the dribbling is smoother as well, so it seems like they worked on the things that needed to be worked on, which is always a plus.
I don't think they just completely leave out injured players I also use the Rockets for online play and dominate with Yao
We just did a video shoot with Kobe for a commercial, he was a pretty nice guy, and wore the headgear like a trooper. DD
My main reason to look forward to early October every year. However, with the few screen shots released so far, I'm sad to see how bad Carmelo came out appearance-wise. http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4843/melom.jpg I know appearance is not a huge deal to every one, but I would at least like the star player I control to actually look like his real life counterpart. Last year, I was looking forward to doing a fantasy draft with the Rockets and getting Kevin Durant, but he looked like a fifty year old man. Either way, I still love 2K for their more realistic gameplay in comparison to the Live series (however the bounce passes in the lane like someone previously stated is an issue).
