Hope everything is still on for tonight. Heading up from the RGV to see my first game since the pre-Covid years. The school that I teach at won the 6A softball championship this year and they are being recognized tonight. [Side note: if you guys haven't come across the game, it was quite an ending. We were down 9-3 with one out in the last inning, and we wound up winning 11-9 with a walk off grand slam!]
Because they didn't win the series against the twins, a sweep is much needed to make up ground. Rangers are right behind the astros and their offense is waking up.
I blame last series on my ******* cubs fan friend who is in Vegas and decided he would finally bet on the Astros….then we lost back to back games. He’s sworn off betting the Astros and he’s a ****ing hater. We should be good for a sweep!
Wrigley was prob the worst series of the season -- swept by a sub-500 team. Lawd have mercy. That series and the first two games @ Yankees marked the season-low 12 games under 500 for the Astros. Houston more pennants and championships since they both existed, so at least there's that.
Don't wanna see Hader today. Dude needs a 3-day rest reset. Let Abreu and Pressly pitch the 8th and 9th if there's a close lead. One of the other bullpen guys needs a 2-inning appearance. Blanco prob needs to remain sub-90 pitches too.
Power came back on this afternoon and a few minutes later I got hooked up with lower-level seats for tonight's game. Today was a good day.
congrats. sometime we just need a small pick-me-up after all the bullshiet this week. hopefully MM has AC and bump cold air and of course hopefully astros win.
