FIRST (squeals like schoolgirl) Should be 10 point win for the Texans, we shouldn't have to eke this one out. New QB for the Jets....At Reliant. We just need take care of business in the red zone.
Glad the football season is finally here! Texans 37 Jets 13 Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will call the game for CBS. This is the first time ever CBS' A Team has called a Texans game.
WOW that is amazing, not that this is the first time the "A" team has called a game but that they will give us the "BIG" game of the day stamp, they really hope Sanchez becomes a star but won't happen Sunday people... TEXANS 20 Jets 13
Texans 23 Jets 21 Texans offense stalls predictably, after easily moving inside the red zone 4 out of its first 6 possessions, only building a 16-14 lead on 3 Kris Brown FGs and a touchdown pass from Schaub to Kevin Walter. Leon Washington wreaks havoc on the Texans on 3rd down, ripping off a 60 yard TD catch on a screen pass. Thomas Jones and Washington combine for 200 yards of total offense, but after playing decently well most of the afternoon, Sanchez fumbles the ball on a sack by Mario Williams, Texans recover and Slaton rips off a 25 yard TD run to put the Texans up 23-14 late. Sanchez engineers a last second TD drive, but it only makes the final score look better.
Time to pummel the new Namath! Can't wait to see Sanchez scrapping grass off his helmet. I can't wait to see Andre PWN a db for a BIG catch either.
28 Texans 10 Jets Now on offense Schaub and Johnson will have a big day 6-8 to receptions for Andre and atleast one 30+ yard throw where AJ puts a Jets DB on a sportscenter hilightlight reel for the wrong reasons. I am predicting Sanchez will get sacked atleast 3 times by Mario, Demeco and Cushing. Plus the obligatory rookie interception to Dunta going the other other way to the endzone. GO TEXANS!!!
How nice would it be for the Texans to come out of the gate and just really put it on somebody? It would be so freaking awesome to see this team win by more than two touchdowns. Not predicting, just hoping.
I can't believe I'm going to be able to watch a Texans game on TV here in NYC. Hopefully they'll show some defensive improvement and take advantage of the Rookie QB.
Just seeing this thread made my tuesday. Tuesdays are more boring than my mondays. The defense needs to step up and make sanchez uncomfortable. Our crowd needs to bring it too and cause a couple of delay of game penalties. Texans 28 Jets 10 2 sacks for mario and a forced fumble!
The more I think about it didn't they call the Pats/Texans in 2003 when we had the champs beat and somehow managed to give it to them. That was the best game I saw at Reliant even in a losing effort. Texans played almost perfect but Brady brought them back at the gun and then OT.
Texans-21 Jets- 17 I've been waiting for this day since the end of the Bears game last season. Its gonna be ON at Reliant Stadium!
