I feel like this is the nail in the coffin for Russ. Even at his best having him take up too much usage didn’t result in any meaningful team success.

And he can’t really make an impact without the ball. Time to retire man.

This is just Harden being the regular season goat. We will have to see if it translates in the playoffs but then again this time he has Kawhi and PG.

MAYBE, just MAYBE the “he’s going to have to play the rest of his career in China” talk was a tad premature.

It is not like Kawhi and PG are 27 again......but I got the gist of it.

They are on their last All Star legs....

Of course it was. Every Rockets fan should know that Harden doesn't always start out the season the strongest. The only thing I care about is what is he going to do in the playoffs. I suspect the usual in a big game, but maybe Kawhi will have enough juice to last through the playoffs and carry him all the way. Harden will win you games in the playoffs, just not always the biggest ones (although he has sometimes like Clippers game 7 or OKC game 7 as well).

Clippers are 11-3 in their last 14 games with a +7.4 point differential and +7.6 net rating

over that span, Harden is averaging 17, 5, and 8 on 46/43/85 splits and 66% TS with the Clippers having a +13.7 net rating with him on the court, and -6.7 net rating with him off

on the season, they quietly have the 3rd best point differential in the West behind the Wolves and Thunder

What we have to always remember is that in the regular season if Harden and his team are doing well then it doesn’t count.

The 0-5 start? That counted. This latest run? Nah….

All the hate in this thread is playoff related. Everyone is sour that the Rockets didn't win a championship because Harden never went down fighting. Of course they are going to poke fun at him when he is struggling because some are bitter at the way he exited the team.

Either way, I'm not surprised that he is back to his normal self, I'm just waiting for the playoffs.

The Clips are stacked and 16.6 and 7.3 is probably the worst stats in years for him but I guess he is winning RS games.

Not sure what is normal for him, being the 3rd option on a team is something he has gotten used to.....

He is back to being that Thunder option.....coming full circle.

Honestly . .. . the Spurs series is about the only series we lost that we were expected to win
Even the Series where we were the #1 seed didn't matter because we lost CP3

Most of Harden's downfalls are the story of narrative and myth
True .. . he didn't get it done . . . but in the end . .. he kind of lost the games people expected them to lose

Harden is clearly an upgrade over Westbrook. No surprise there.

How the Clippers will do depends on whether Leonard and/or George will stay healthy.

I think the success of this team will still fall on Kawhi's shoulders. Harden is slotting in in a Phoenix Chris Paul role. Kawhi has been going god mode in the last few games in terms of scoring and defense

The basic knock on Harden is that he is not a closer
Kawhi's knock is that he is injury prone and kind of not there . . BUT HE IS A CLOSER
    PG-13 is somewhere inbetween
