Why bother people????? Why????? Sochan playing bad is anticipated as Pop wants him to succeed in the next years as a PG. I think the Grizz are missing Tyus Jones despite this.
With James Harden, Clippers’ siren is sounding + NBA Stock Report and a epic rant They can’t win with The Beard Slow starts don’t typically make me overreact, but the Clippers’ James Harden era is off to an alarmingly bad beginning. To be fair, we’re barely through 10 percent of the season, and finding chemistry on the fly isn’t seamless. Now that we have those required qualifiers out of the way … Here are notes on the Clippers’ big four since Harden’s team debut: Harden: 13.5 points per game, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.5 turnovers, 47.2/36.8/100 shooting splits, minus-67 on court. Kawhi Leonard: Before: 23 points, plus-80| Since: 18.8 points, minus-35 Paul George: Before: 28.8 points, plus-87 | Since: 17 points, minus-26 Russell Westbrook: Before: 57.2 true shooting percentage, plus-64 | Since: 48.2 true shooting percentage, minus-28 https://theathletic.com/5059235/2023/11/13/james-harden-clippers-tyrese-maxey-sixers-nba-the-bounce/
I'm not sure why the Clippers brass thought this would work. Why add a FORTH ball dominant player to the mix? Harden can't or won't: Play off ball. He simply stands around. Catch and shoot. He only seems to get the rhythm to shoot after dribbling. Play (perimeter) defense. As PatBev would say 'he's a cone!'... Play with pace. He slows the game to a crawl with the ball in his hands. Do much more than PnR, and Zubac (with hands of stone) is far from an ideal 2nd man to do that. Change his game from being totally ball dominant. His 1:1 and 2:2 game has atrophied along with his (now lack of) athleticism. Four games is a small sample size, but I don't think Harden is in the league next year. What a crash & burn ending to his career, after turning down MAX extensions from BOTH the Rockets and the Nets.
I hope he does what’s necessary to find some success as his career winds down. I’m glad he’s not on the Rockets anymore, and i don’t like the way he has handled things. But he’s a great player who gave us a lot of great moments as a Rocket.
Morey spoiled him rotten and now in the twilight of his career he’s looking rather pathetic. He’ll be playing in China next season.
It’s crazy how 5 years ago Harden was a top 5 player winning an MVP on a 65 win team. Now he’s a shell of himself on a team with 3 other former MVP contenders and they can’t win a game. Life’s a trip yall.
Not really crazy when you think about. He's in his mid 30s now, isn't a genetic (and roided) freak like Lebron, and his playstyle hasn't aged gracefully. He was going to fall off rapidly sooner rather than later. Just glad it wasn't the Rockets when the decline happened.
This is absolutely insane construction. Team dynamics? Pecking order? You have two 0ver the hill MVPs who have only known how to play with the ball in their hands for over a decade, coming to join the team that belongs to two other alphas. So how exactly is that going to shake down? PG-13 and Kawhi should be screening and spotting-up for James and Russ, playing the role of P.J.Tuck and RoCo for the 2020 Rockets? Is that the plan?
