It's that time again. Remember no Play by Play in this thread, there are other places to get that. All series talk goes in here. All games will be carried on Root Sports Southwest unless otherwise noted. 4-6 Corey Kluber, RHP vs. Dallas Keuchel, LHP 6:10 RSSW and ESPN 4-8 Carlos Carrasco, RHP vs. Scott Feldman, RHP 7:10 4-9 Trevor Bauer, RHP vs. Asher Wojciechowski, RHP 1:10
I believe tonight's game is on ESPN if I am not mistaken. Hope we get off to a good start this season!
WTF is with this day off in the middle of the first series. They did this last year too. Has anybody given a reason for it?
I don't think there is a "real" reason, but it happens quite often for the first series of the year, regardless of the team.
The general idea is to get as many teams playing on Monday as possible, without having no one playing on Thursday.

Wild guess. If there is a day off before McHugh's start, Woj will be skipped and McHugh will pitch on his regular scheduled rest. By having Keuchel and McHugh separate, the Astros can get them pitching more while the third and fifth starters pitch less.
McHugh was solid in ST. I would not be surprise to see McHugh, if he stays healthy, put up the best numbers of the starting rotation.
