Talk about the series here. Please no PBP in this thread. Unless otherwise noted all games are on CSN-H (for about 40% I guess). 9-15 Zach McAllister, RHP vs. Collin McHugh, RHP 7:10 9-16 Corey Kluber, RHP vs. Nick Tropeano, RHP 7:10 9-17 Carlos Carrasco, RHP vs. Brett Oberholtzer, LHP 7:10 9-18 Danny Salazar, RHP vs. Scott Feldman, RHP 7:10
Question: why was everyone going nuts over Enrique Hernandez, but no one cares about Petit? Admittedly, I can't watch the non-Rangers games, but he's been up a while and is batting .292 (as of this post). Was it just their status as prospects? I don't remember anyone saying Enrique was going to be a big deal though.
Aside from the age difference given already, Hernandez walked a lot more and struck out less than Petit. All this is of course based on the small sample sizes given by both players.
In his postgame interview, Lawless said both McHugh and Qualls should be fine. Bruises and stiffness tomorrow, but nothing serious.
Needs 13.1 IP to qualify for ERA title. Has 2 scheduled starts remaining. He can't catch Sale, but could finish 5th, and give team 2 in the top 10.
Biggio has to be at the game tomorrow right? He lives here, and has a figurehead position with the club. Not that too big a deal will be made, probably just an announcement and standing O, but it would still be nice for him to be there.
Feldman has been fairly solid. Interestingly, he has had 4 really bad games in which he gave up 7, 7, 6 and 9 runs. In each of those games he pitched 5.1 innings. Outside of those 4 games, his ERA is 2.95.
just glanced back over the schedule, and the Astros are 18-10 (if I counted in my head right) over the last 28 games. Sweet.
