I dont know if Wal-Mart will put them out at midnight, but they usually do their stocking after midnight. Thats where Im going. Its worth a shot to ask someone to "go get" it for you if they dont have it out. They are going to have to put it out with-in the next 10-15 hours anyway. I wouldnt doubt it if they had a small line there like they did when the PS2 came out.
FYI: I pre-oredered the Special Edition from the Pearland EB Games (the one on Dixie Farm Rd.). Unfortunately, they didn't get any of the Special Edition Halo 2's in time for tonight's midnight madness release. They will have the regular edition ready for pickup though. Just didn't want anyone to make the trip for nothing. Happy Halo-ing!! GameSpot gave the game a 9.4 and their reviews are usually dead-on. I've never been more excited about a release!!
Gamestop has my copy already, will be picking it up at midnight. I am "Chupacabra5000" on Xbox Live. Have to work tomorrow so I won't be able to try out mplayer until tomorrow night.
Id go ahead and get that regular edition before they screw you. It's reasons like that I didnt reserve.
HEHE, I work for the Computer Science Dept at A&M, they are in bed with Micrsoft (LIKE MOST) and our rep gave out some of the beta x-box games that could only be played on X-box Live about 4-5 months ago.. I didnt play...way too fast for me, but they guys that played said it was really good... Oh and we have "LONGHORN" as well...

I played one game online this morning. Just a quick match. I wish I could be playing right now. I wish you could take a mutiplayer online. Like have up to 4 people playing on your console, and you all get online as a team. Im probably going to try system link this weekend. I also wish you could take a system link online.
Paid mine in advance and went to GameStop in Katy to pick it up. It was sweet to walk right by the line of the 50 or so people who had just reserved one and get my copy.
Hum, I'm thinking about getting Xbox live, but they charge you like $45 a month. Plus, I only play Halo, and Top spin. So, I'm afraid I won't get my money's worth.
