I think they are going to leave it at Fisher being the only one suspended just so the league can say "see! at least we did something!"

well I'm glad it took them almost 24 hrs to rule on what is probably one of the most premeditated fouls I've seen in recent time.

there won't be another ruling.....unfortunately this may actually help LA, fisher was struggling with his shot, Brown brings a lot more energy and speed to counter Brooks...

the rulings never come early, it's always taken them time, and it's not even close to 24 hours, not to mention they dont actually start reviewing until the league office opens up again, they're not 7/11...

well...one less shooter on the court. I'll take it I guess. I hope AB really exploits them now. I mean, he was blowing by Fish, but, Fisher is by far the strongest and toughest to body up on of their three. Maybe Sascha Whosabitch will start in his place? I can't see them starting Dumbo.....but I guess its conceivable that they could start Brown. Regardless, this atleast puts a lil more advantage our way. Anytime you can get rid of a veteran PG in a highly contested and physical series like this, its nice.

Not really, they still have two capable point guards, a starter and a back up....and they both match up better with brooks, and it's not like they used all 3 pgs significantly.

Phil only stays with Fisher due to experience, but sometimes you have to throw that out the window and go with the better matchup, this makes the decision for him, may work out for them for the better.

Fisher out - Kobe gets a flagrant 1

Derek Fisher Suspended For Game 3

Fisher has been suspended for striking Houston’s Luis Scola with his shoulder and head with 13.2 seconds remaining in the third period of the Lakers’ 111-98 win last night over the visiting Houston Rockets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals at STAPLES Center. Fisher received a Flagrant Foul Penalty Two and was ejected from the game at the time of the play.

Jackson also announced that the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant has been assessed a Flagrant Foul Penalty One for elbowing Houston’s Ron Artest in the chest area with 6:57 remaining in the fourth period of last night’s game.

Fisher will serve his suspension on Friday when the Lakers visit the Rockets at Toyota Center.

Didn't Artest say his throat, how convenient for Mr Bryant.

Um....Stu had a front row seat, not to mention the internet. Do they have to review on a special NBA office TV or something? I understand, but if theres one play that didn't need to even be rewound once, it was that one.

It doesn't help them. Phil Jackson knows enough to be able to tell if Farmar or Fisher is giving him more. If Fisher's hurting them, he can sit Fisher. Now, he has one less option. It's always bad for a team when someone is suspended.

Rafer Alston is suspended for slapping the head band on Eddie House's head, but Kobe gets a fine for elbowing Artest in the throat?? Okay............
