Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 6-30 Eric Stults, LHP (2-0, 0.60) vs. Roy Oswalt, RHP (6-8, 4.77) 7:05 on FSN 7-1 Clayton Kershaw, LHP (0-2, 4.36) vs. Wandy Rodriguez, LHP (3-3, 2.58) 7:05 on FSN 7-2 Hiroki Kuroda, RHP (3-6, 4.04) vs. Runelvys Hernandez, RHP (0-1, 5.40) 7:05 on FSN 7-3 TBA vs. Brandon Backe, RHP (5-8, 5.12) 1:05 on FSN
I know this is a late prediction, but I'm guessing it's going to be WWWL. Kershaw is a good pitcher but he's just a rookie that can't seem to get more than one of his pitches down in a game. I was thinking about predicting a Kuroda win, but he's been just as inconsistent (if not more) as the rest of the Dodgers' pitching lineup. The TBA is just a crapshoot.
In that case I stand by the L. The guy has been getting a lot of wins lately and he's a strikeout pitcher that can get it done.
hope oswalt leaving is just precautionary. Looks like we were just rounding back into shape, and he was on tonight.
Take it from someone who has been keeping track of the Dodgers... they make complete trash pitchers look like all-stars. The Dodgers offense is so stagnant it's pathetic. The only HR threat they have besides Kent is Kemp, and he's on the bench tonight. Loney might have only one less HR than Kemp, but he doesn't have that same power potential that Kemp does.
Nonono. I'm sorry I should've worded that in a better way. What I'm saying is that The Dodgers make bad pitchers look good, so it's only expected that Oswalt do especially well against them. 9 Ks in 6 innings is amazing, but I'm just saying that this is the Dodgers, not some offensive juggernaut.
Thanks, when I posted this morning they had not announced a decision about who they were going to throw.
it was Greene and Harris Roy is hurt (hip abductor strain) , but hopefully it's something that will heal quickly
seems like an annual thing for roy. i wouldn't call roy injury-prone, but you can pencil him in for a couple minor ones/year. let's sweep this series and begin to make things interesting again.
