I have to admit i'm pretty excited for this one, first home game against the struggling colts. We need to build on what we started against the jags. No turnovers, no mistakes, keep scoring the ball. Defense, i searching for an identity. pretty good stopping both backs, bad QB contain. Good pressure by mario all game and a few by Okoye up the middle. Pass coverage wasn't terrible but could easily be better, and for god sakes don't give them the slant route on every play. Colts line is kinda beaten up, we need to take advantage of that using the Spinner package and using stunts on blitz packages. Everyone knows how good peyton manning can be, but is off to a slow start and knowing the texans luck he will be on against us but lets pray not. This is the start of a 4 game homestand, 4 winnable games, it's time to get back on track!
Wouldn't be at all surprised if we beat them. Colts havent shown they are unbeatable... all though we haven't won a game only means there HAS to be a first! (lets hope)
The Colts D hasn't shown they can stop anyone, but neither have the Texans. We should be able to move the ball but our D is gonna have to play really well if we are to have a chance at a win.
First home game of the season should be more than enough motivation. I hope the crowd is loud as hell...even with the roof permanently open (for this season anyway). Indy has looked old in their first 3 games. I'm predicting that Slaton runs all over them and AJ finally get's a td...
I think we have a shot on any given Sunday to beat any NFL. That being said, it could get real ugly if Manning picks apart our secondary. If Garrard could do it, Im sure Manning can figure something out. It depends on our D, our offense should be there. They are coming off a bye week just giving Harrison and the rest of the banged up players a week to recover, which isnt a good thing. If our crowd is anything like the steelers last night, it should and will give a great boost to a win-less team
We're gonna need a big play or two to really have a shot at this one...either a kick/punt return and/or a defensive touchdown. Last year at home against Indy we got the kick return from Mathis, and had we not thrown a crucial INT in the red zone probably would've stolen the game.
A win would be nice but the Colts are 1-2 and they will be looking to get their season going as well. Peyton Manning is probably licking his chops looking at that secondary. Hopefully Texans can get good pressure without blitzing. Blitzing against Manning is pretty risky proposition he always makes you pay for blitzing. If Slaton can run consistently against that weak run defense and keep Manning off the field maybe they have a shot. Does anone know if Bob Sanders is gonna play? If he does not play then the Texans seriously have a shot barring stupid turnovers by Shaub.
We need the Schaub that showed up last week. THAT GUY was awesome. The D needs to step it up, they were beat badly last week by mid passes that turned into long plays.
