In light of my recent bball role thread I'd like to see if anyone wants to start a reoccurring clutchfans only rec team(Houston and surrounding areas) . If there is any interest post here.
I can find leagues if I ask around pretty easily. Also, if you know of any leagues and are interested post them here.
If you don't play defense and don't pass please don't respond. Just do what you normally someplace else

We would have to have some sort of try-out
and would like the team to consist of 9-12 payers in case some people can't show.

Addendum: Want to win obviously, but would also like to meet new people and hangout with the guys I already know because you guys are cool as shiet.

I think I'm down. Lemme know when and where.

A group of us rent out a full court once or twice a week.

It's a indoor soccer soccer complex with 2 basketball courts. This place is on clay between hwy 6 and barker cypress.

I was thinking more like clutchfans vs. the world :D , but we could definitely practice there. If everybody is serious I would suggest that people try to maintain a level of conditioning condusive to playing on both ends of the court.

I can understand that, but it would be cool to play against a bunch of different people while building great team chemistry. Also it would be cool to start threads on game days with live updates via cell phones during games.

I'll coach for a small fee.

My coaching style is similar to this:

Jerry Sloan on roids? Will not pay you a fee  but will give rep if you could actually coach a team.

C'mon now, you'd probably throw the towel in midway through the season. No playoffs for Clutchfans.

we created a clutchfans team before called Bus Stop Stalkers. although it was fun having a "team", I felt there really wasn't any chemistry between us. plus, if you've got ten people on one team playing time becomes an issue. without a "leader" or coach it's awkward telling someone you barely know, "hey, i want to sub in for you" because no one wants to feel like they're paying for the league for nothing. it's different when you're a bunch of friends who've actually grown up playing together. everyone knows their role. just my honest two cents.

Yeah I've ran into those issues in a bunch of rec leagues. I'm not saying I wanna be coach or the leader, but if everybody can know and accept their roles I can be somewhat of the playtime giver if no one wants to assume that role. I think it is essential that we do find the right group of people to build a team with.
If someone here can run the point better than me I'll start them or if playing time becomes an issue for someone and they want to quit I will refund them their money.
I just wanna have fun playing basketball the right way confusing teams that may have more talent or athleticism.

A shout out to yao wink is necessary because I think your height and basketball IQ could really help a team
