I looked at some advance statistics and it shows Wood with a net + rating, meaning that he has been so good on the offensive end that it makes up for his shitty defense. Maybe someone can give me better context on this reddit post, because I'm not one to usually look at advance stats.
Is there any difference between this organization compared to others you’ve played for? CW: They have a culture here. Their culture is defense. Off the court, everybody is close to each other. We’re all grown men, and we all care for each other and care about each other.
To be fair, the culture was gone when Harden left. His second year just a bunch of young players. He is not saying anything that isn't true. He just wasn't good enough to keep around.
Mavs lose/choke a 16 pt lead away with 4 min to go and Wood puts up a meh statline while not playing 30 min at all plus they didn't even have Mcgee
this is the problem with wood , kpj and the clueless fans, they think basketball is all about making tough faces, tough 3s and fancy dribbles... ignorants...lolololol
Funny they call it a "miracle loss" for the Mavs and not a "miracle win" for the Thunder. I guess it's because OKC is supposed to be a tanking team. They don't really mean to win.
Christian Wood was limited to just five points on 2-of-6 shooting Sunday, to go with 10 rebounds and two turnovers in 24 minutes off the bench. Wood has been abysmal over the past three games with meager averages of 9.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and not much else on 47.6% shooting from the field and 71.4% at the line. His scoring and rebounding numbers have been pedestrian, and he’s not bringing anything else to the stat sheet aside from turnovers (2.7). Wood has not responded well to the reserve role, and while Dallas could certainly use some more scoring in their first unit, Jason Kidd is apparently happy with using JaVale McGee as a faux-starter with Wood, Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber fighting for the scraps.
