    I totally would have misspelled Wood’s name and put official in {braces}

    Gonna put up big numbers there
    Lack of D as usual
    They will realize his weaknesses and start souring by mid season

    my prediction

    Prediction: 65 games played; statline of 19 ppg, 10 rpg, 48/36/70 shooting statline

    Locks himself into a nice extension at $18 mill per season only to revert back to his old ways for the 2023-2024 season.

    Hmmm, 19/10 with those splits are his old ways.

    Do you mean he will actually become a serviceable defender and team player and then revert to his old self once he gets the extension?

    Dallas regresses with Wood and ends their season with an early exit in the playoffs

    I think it's a pretty nice fit actually. They know they're not getting a superstar, they just need someone who can carry some offense so it doesn't have to be all on Luka. They need to beef up their defense in general though if they want to take the next step. Good move by Dallas. Fair trade for us too

    Yup, I think the intangible factor of averaging 19/10 on a playoff contender (plus a more willing defender) will get him his money.

    He shall be spoon fed for Luka and get many points. Wood has a weirdly great touch around the rim if he can get the ball there. Luka will get him that for sure

    Dallas will be as happy as when they stole Parsons from us.

    I'm curious to see how Wood handles having to play defense or being forced to play it in Dallas. Should be interesting to see how this comes along.

    Wood's defense was weak in Houston, but was somewhat better in Detroit. If he has the motivation to get back to that, this could go well. If he continues to devolve on defense, it'll compromise their defense too much for him to make a significant impact.

    I could accept Wood’s limitations on defense somewhat. I mean Harden wasn’t exactly Gary Payton himself.

    But I hated Wood’s pouty attitude, lack of team play, and general self-centeredness. His gaudy stat lines never seemed to help the team that much, and he didn’t have much interest or chemistry with his teammates.

    Unless someone threw him a lob, his game was all one-on-one, and he was a black hole. Once he got the ball, you knew he was taking a shot one way or another.
