As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the game cast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else.

6-7 Jake Westbrook, RHP (5-3, 5.15) vs. Brett Myers, RHP (2-4, 4.82) 7:05 on FSH

6-8 Jaime Garcia, LHP (6-1, 3.05) vs. Bud Norris, RHP (3-4, 3.95) 7:05 on FSH

    6-9 Lance Lynn, RHP (0-1, 8.44) vs. J.A. Happ, LHP (3-7, 4.65) 7:05 on FSH

Ah, Albert Pujols has awoken from his slump just in time. Great for my fantasy team, bad for my reality team....

Chris Johnson has far and away the worst BB/K in the NL. He swings at everything. There are only a handful of players that can get away with that kind of approach/lack of discipline and he obviously isn't the next coming of Vlad Guerrero.

Of course the only way we score with bases loaded and one out is a HBP on a 1-2 count

That's a shame. I was hoping we could get one more AB in before LaRussa pulled Sanchez. He was all over the place. Even CJ layed off a Ball 4... heh.

    Bottom 9 - 4 straight solo shots.

    Top 10 - 9 straight strikes.

    Bottom 10 - Walk-off solo shot.

    I called it first.

    You called it:p

    SOTG: CampbellChron Steve Campbell
Astros strand 13, go 0-for-their-first-10 ABs with runners in scoring position, allow three-run 2B to pitcher.

Kids, hold on to your Brett Myers rookie cards. They're gonna be worth a pretty penny one day.

Congrats to Carlos Lee, looks like 18 million finally gets you an OPS over .700.

Brett Myers looks like the guy we expected last season, a #4 or #5 starter. Luckily that contract ends after next season, doubt anyone is willing to eat that money or give anything of quality. Might aswell hold on to him and try to see if he can improve a bit.

Tonight was a pretty clear example of why Pence, Bourn, Wandy and Keep need to go and just how crappy the Cubs are. Last 11 games...Vs Cubs 3-0, Vs anyone else 1-7

You haven't experienced the bigs unless Albert takes you for a ride, as Enerio Del Rosario found out...

    Tonight's lineup...

    Bourn
    Kepp
    Pence
    Lee
    Michaels
    Johnson
    Barmus
    Towles
    Norris

Could be the last stand for Michaels, he has been truly bad this season and wasn't the 1st pinch hitter off the bench last night. Not seeing the benefit of taking ABs away from Wallace and giving them to Michaels, at this point.
