As always, no PBP in the thread. If you need that try one of the gamecast sites. Keep discussion to this series. If it is not about this series it goes somewhere else. 4-26 Jaime Garcia, LHP (3-0, 1.44) vs. Bud Norris, RHP (1-1, 4.91) 7:05 on FSH 4-27 Kyle Lohse, RHP (3-1, 2.01) vs. J.A. Happ, LHP (1-3, 6.94) 7:05 on FSH 4-28 Kyle McClellan, RHP (3-0, 2.16) vs. Nelson Figueroa, RHP (0-3, 8.55) 7:05 on FSH
WWL 1) Bud Norris owns the Cards. 2) I'm going to game 2, so Happ owes it to me to have a bounce back performance. 3) Figgy is terrible and needs to be pitching out of the pen... and by that I mean the Oklahoma City RedHawks pen. BOOM!
WWL I hope Lyles pitches his next couple of starts like the last one so that we have to promote him to take Figgy's spot On a side note how about the job Brett Wallace has done so far this season? He's really picked it up the last few games.
These 3 pitchers (for St. Louis) are 9-1 and the rest of the team is 3-9 Couldnt have picked a worse time to face them One of those few years I wish we were facing Carpenter (0-2, 3.90) in a 3 game series. We will be lucky to take 1.
Honestly, a little worried what Puma might do to us in these next three games but at least Pujols is out.
You HAVE to start to consider moving up Wallace to the five hole or even three hole and Pence cleaning up.
Chris Johnson should be the one who's benched when barmes comes back. He's not hitting and terrible on defense.
That sounds like a good idea, pence is a free swinger and belongs in the middle of the lineup (4,5 or 6) not at the top. Wallace's on base skills would work better hitting closer to bourn and sanchez and not wedged between the three strikeouts... uh i mean lee, hall and johnson.
I was just reminded why Barmus replacing Sanchez is the right baseball move. Love his bat but dam he is a bad fielder with a weak arm. Saying that, Norris' issues has been the big inning. He needs to do a better job of working around the error. He was dominant until then and now the flood gates have opened.
He is 7 for his last 39 (.180) with 2 walks in the last 10 days. http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/28623/angel-sanchez Id say his bat isnt that great an asset.
