Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 6-6 Braden Looper, RHP (7-4, 5.03) vs. Brian Moehler, RHP (2-2, 4.54) 7:05 on FSN 6-7 Adam Wainwright, RHP (5-3, 3.12) vs. Shawn Chacon, RHP (2-1, 4.41) 6:05 on FSN 6-8 Kyle Lohse, RHP (6-2, 3.87) vs. Wandy Rodriguez, LHP (2-1, 2.38) 1:05 on My20
A series win would go a long way to restoring some confidence in this team. The Cards have had their number all year.
^^ Just being home will do a lot confidence wise. The Astros have played the most road games it the majors to this point...13 more than they've played at home. I think this 9 game trip and the 10 game one before that just wore them out a bit. Being home for 19 out of the next 25 (and 3 days off during that stretch) will do a lot.
I'm so excited to see Brad Outmas is going to be playing more! Can we bring back Lane, Everett and Burke too!! We can have a total OUTfest. Astros losing makey Smacktle very cranky. Anybody wanna buy some kids? I'll throw in a perfectly good wife.
I don't get Coop's reasoning with pulling Moehler in this game . He had a 2 hitter going . Then Geary allows a run . This looks like a win , now if they can just win more than one game in a series vs. the Cards . This is the way it has went with every series vs. St. Louis this season , they win the first game and lose the rest of the series .
Geary needs some work after spending a lot of time on the DL. No need to force Moeller to pitch into the 8th. Let him leave with a good feeling.
Who is this guy, and what has he done with Brian Moehler? I'm pretty sure Moehler somehow stole Roy O's mojo. That's the only logical explanation.
Also, had Michael Bourne not been as unreliable at the plate... the Astros wouldn't care as much if Cruz was struggling (as he's still a decent defensive replacement, and a left handed bat). Abercrombie and Erstad are going to see increased playing time, along with Pence batting near the top of the order.
No offense to the Astros commentators...but I'm really enjoying the technical difficulties right now. I've always wanted to see a game without hearing people talk...but still with the sounds of the game.
