I think the Bills focus on stopping the run game and succeed. We breakdown in pass protection and Fitzpatrick sees a ton of heat. BoB wants to get the TE's running routes, open up the field... don't see it working. We'll have guys chipping and staying in to block as the 2nd half adjustment. Since we're playing from behind we're going to get smoked even more. This incredibly lucky redzone turnover defense we've enjoyed comes up dry. I think we lose by 9 points and Fitzpatrick looks unremarkable again.
I'll want to hear more about the injury report before I predict the game, but this is a game the Texans should be able to win in theory.
They have Jackson and Spiller, that scares the **** out of me. Must force EJ to beat you on the road. Texans W, 27-17
My friend thinks the Texans are primed for a good long losing streak... If the Texans lose this week...things dont look better with the Cowboys and Colts looming soon after. I have to bet against the Texans until their front seven can address what has been a huge problem: RUN DEFENSE. Teams have been getting yards on this defense; games 1 and 2 we were getting turnovers... We had opportunities Sunday, but we couldnt beat a "BAD" football Giants team(they arent a good team). Bills Spiller and Jackson are going to have their way on the ground. And teams are going to get more effective at neutralizing JJ during the course of a game. Expecting a loss: 24-19 Bills
This is the very definition of a trap game. Far too many folks are dismissing Buffalo as the same old same old. IMO, both they and the Texans are different versions of the same team. I expect an ugly, low scoring game especially if the Texans continue to have issues running the ball and stopping the run.
No, a trap game would have been last week. There is no "trap game" the week after a big loss. That doesn't mean the Texans couldn't find a way to lose, but it won't be because of a trap game.
I think it is time to give some of the young linebackers a shot, at least spot duty. Might want to tinker with both lines some. When it "ain't working" time to do something. When you can't block, can't tackle, can't run, can't pass, might want to experiment a bit.
