The first BCS poll is due later today. The new Coaches and AP poll came out today and here they are: With these new ranking the initial BCS Rankings look like they could be very, very intriguing.
LSU and OU are right back in the hunt. I want Ohio State to lose and BC and South Florida to meet in the Sugar Bowl. What time today will the BCS rankings be released?
All of those undefeated teams have games on their schedule that they could easily lose. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we had a bunch of one loss teams at the top. This could be rock bottom year for the BCS. There's disaster potential here.
I don't think he was saying it was bad news. Probably just hoping it will happen, like the rest of us.
Or maybe not. Dude, as an OU fan, I'm willing to take a screw over on this one if it means a clusterf*ck worty of getting rid of the BCS.
Actually, since this is a BCS Rankings thread, you'll want the Harris poll instead of the AP poll. http://www.harrisinteractive.com/news/newsletters/bcsnews/BCS_Oct_14_2007.pdf As a Vanderbilt fan, all of this is irrelevant.
Also, here's to hoping that Hawaii and Kansas can keep it going. Two more irrelevant undefeated teams to throw into the mix.
I mean, I guess it's a necessary and worthwhile sacrifice if it means the end of the BCS but I just hate seeing good teams get screwed.
My 2 dream scenarios: 1) haveing USF and Boston College in the Championship and 2) Having two one loss teams playing in the chamionship over an undefeated Ohio St. I would love to screw over the Big 10 for holding everyone hostage from a playoff system.
I feel you, but man, at this point it's just collateral damage to me. Some of us just are going to have to make sacrifices to take that thing down. ...damn, this shouldn't sound so much like war.
Actually, the last thing anybody wants is Kansas to go undefeated if they want the end of the BCS. Kansas is in the Big XII. If you want to BCS to go away, you want the national championship game to be without a team from any of the big conferences (Big 10, Big XII, SEC, Pac 10).
Talk about program maker Miami, FSU and Florida all have won National titles in last 10 years now add USF as a legit school and you probably have the best football state in the country.
Watch all the undefeateds go down then some joker mediocre team like USC sneak into the national championship game. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
Pretty sure the president of the big 10 is the mastermind behind the BCS system, and also the biggest opponent of a playoff system...
