All games are broadcast on Space City Network unless otherwise noted. 9-10 Osvaldo Bido (R) vs. Spencer Arrighetti (R) 7:10 9-11 JP Sears (L) vs. Hunter Brown (R) 7:10 9-12 Joey Estes (R) vs. Framber Valdez (L) 1:10
Hopefully Arrighetti can shake of his dud. With the dynamic duo going 2 and 3 good chance for a sweep if we take game one.
I think Arrighetti is going to be prepared and motivated. I think they took the A's a bit for granted and we're surprised last series. That doesn't happen this time and it's a solid sweep. 3 quality starts. Contributions up and down the lineup including Altuve's and Tucker's 20th HRs. Chas continues his resurgence. Tucker plays RF at least once. Framber gets win #15.
They should get at least 2 out of 3 or even a sweep. But you know them when they play bad teams, they end up struggling. I think A's will put up a fight but I'll say Astros goes 2 for 3.
Oakland hasn't been a slouch the past 2 months. 0 wins = disaster 1 win = big disappointment 2 wins = acceptable 3 wins = somewhat offsets the Cincinnati series Astros need wins, plus the teams ahead to lose. I'm not overly concerned about Seattle yet.
I’ve come to accept that we might have to play in wild card series no way Astros catch up for the bye
The debacle in Cincinnati was likely the demise. Astros are 4.5 behind the bye and 4.5 ahead of Seattle. Fans should be equally confident in the Astros not bye'ing, as they are in Seattle not winning the division. Astros will have to sweep Cleveland, and/or Seattle will have to sweep the Astros.
The cincy debacle hurt. So did those two bullshit losses in Baltimore. So did our 12-24 start. Hopefully, we don’t add the A’s series to the list of regrets.
15-24 That's our record in 1-run games. Only 2 teams in MLB have a worse outcome (CHISOX and Nationals). A measly 19-20 would have us pacing for best AL record..
