Let's do this. We got our 2 big horses going this weekend. Let's try to get 2 of 3 and a series win. Fried vs Unknown doesn't exactly warm the cockles of our heart, so a fair amount of pressure to take these first 2 games.

I have a bad feeling about this series. Boone might be fired if the Astros sweep them, who knows. Yankees need to turn it around. So do the Astros.
Baseball is probably the only sport where doing something “extra”, whatever it may be or whatever may motivate it… may not actually help (and in some cases can hurt). luckily, teams are who they are this time of year. And largely still dependent on how your starting pitcher is doing that day.
Remember when Judge grounded out to end the ALCS and the Astros swept him into a dustbin? We need October Astros this weekend. Time to own the Yankees again.
Apple TV had to splice in some regular season Yankee game wins in that montage… because there wasn’t any playoff success (all the Astros highlights were playoff moments). Obviously a ton of variance in this sport… especially in the playoffs… but the Astros playoff dominance over the Yankees rivals any Yankee dominance over a corresponding opponent of their long storied history, and it drives Yankee fans nuts.
