Please limit talk in this thread to this series. Other topics should be discussed in the appropriate threads. Play-by-play is not allowed. If you need that, there are other places to find it. Political discussions belong in the D&D forum not in here. All games are broadcast on Space City Network unless otherwise noted. 8-9 Ronel Blanco (R) vs. Tanner Houck (R) 6:10 MLBN (out-of-market only) 8-10 Spencer Arrighetti (R) vs. TBD 3:10 FS1 8-11 TBD vs. James Paxton (L) 12:35
Gotta take 2 out of 3 An uptake from Blanco even small would be nice. Edit: I could swear I saw on MLB.COM yesterday that Blanco was starting today?
ESPN has Blanco, Arrighetti, Brown. Maybe the weather has them reconsidering. Fingers crossed for a series win.
If Astros can't have a 6-man rotation, Blanco needs to be load managed within the game with 85 PC. He's clearly wearing down -- velocity is down and results are down. Hopefully he can get an efficient 5 innings on 80 pitches. BOS have the 3rd highest runs scored in the AL. Blanco had an extra day rest, so at least there's that.
With the off days recently, they do have the option to skip somebody if they wanted to give more rest (or avoid altogether) and keep everybody else on their usual rest. I don’t think they’re skipping anybody though. JV doing a rehab start in SL tomorrow. Will probably do one more after that. If all that goes well, he may be able to start one of the games against the next home series vs. the Red Sox, or on the road vs. the Orioles.
ESPN and other sites will just roll thru the rotation regardless of if there is a change or not. MLB's site, where I get the info from, uses what the teams put out. Until the team officially announces starters for a series MLB shows TBD. The Astros at the time of my above post had not officially listed their starters. I don't have any reason to believe it won't be the normal order but I also don't know if there is a change. When I initially started the post at 9:00 neither team had a rotation list. I didn't want to forget to press post so I waited as long as I could then went with what as officially released.
Weather isn't supposed to get bad during the game timeframe. There looks to be light rain starting around 8-9. https://www.wunderground.com/hourly/us/ma/boston/KMABOSTO374
Need to find our offense this series. And that doesn't mean scoring 12 runs in 1 game and then 1 in the other 2.
I live in Albany and it's raining like a MO FO here. We are 3 hours away from Boston, but I cant imagine it's not wet there. Edit: it isn't raining there crazy
No rain yet...windy as hell out of the South...what direction in the park that is, I have no idea. Could be a comically fun game. We need Framber out there to throw 24 GB + K outs eta: I live about 3 hours from Houston...sometimes it rains there and doesn't rain here. I wish it rained here every time it rained in Houston.
