Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread).

4-13 Brian Moehler, RHP (0-1, 37.80) vs. Zach Duke, LHP (1-0, 1.42) 12:35 ON FSN

    4-15 Mike Hampton, LHP (0-1, 5.40) vs. Ross Ohlendorf, RHP (0-1, 3.00) 6:05 on My20

4-16 Russ Ortiz, RHP (0-0, 9.00) vs. Jeff Karstens, RHP (0-0, -.--) 11:35 on FSN

Wierd series with no Tuesday game.

I don't know if the Astros are good enough to provide the Pirates competition.

WWW. Astros sweep the Pirates and score 29 runs in the three game series.

Why am I such an optimist  ? I'll never be sure.

    please turn it around.

Actually, please let Duke's first start not be indicative of that breakout season he's been waiting for..

I say either LWW or WWW!

I think the reason for an off day on Tuesday is just in case Monday's home opener for the Pirates is rained out.

If Tuesday had a scheduled game and Monday did get rained out then Tuesday's game would be the home opener. That would be bad for the folks who had tickets to Monday's game since they wanted to go to the home opener.

The Somali Pirates or the ones from Pittsburgh?

If it's the ones from Pittscburgh, LWW.

The experience of Hampton and Ortiz should be able to shut them down.

it would be really helpful if berkman and lee would get some hits. this is where OBP fails you...because guys in those spots need to do more than just get on base...they need to drive in runs.

We got a double in the 1st inning by Tejada. I guess we need to shoot for a higher goal than "have a baserunner" or "get a base hit". :p

One goal we may not meet any time soon is "score a run in the 1st or 2nd inning".

Edit: Buh bye, tie game. Hello, deficit.

Massive improvement from Moehler today, only gave up 2 hits, 1 run, 1 walk in the first inning. Well done big man!

That inning actually lowers Moehler's ERA from 37.80 to 27.00. :)

Is this team is good for anything but slow hit rollers on the infield? Weak!
