It's going to be super interesting at the deadline if we are in the thick of the race. I would think that calling Philadelphia about Cole Hamels would be mighty enticing.

Lowrie flying back to Houston to get a MRI. Will not be back for the rest of this series according to ROOT. Hopefully, he doesn't have to go on the DL.

This. We'll see how big the balls are on ol' Jeff.

I kid, and hopefully he's not hurt much and this is just a moot point. Marwin's a great guy to have fill in.

Marwin starting and calling Villar back up seems like the probable play here. Although I'd personally like to give Fontana a shot instead of Villar.

If going based off of reading between the lines in post-game intervew (him and hinch), I'd say he's *****ed. :(

    Praying I'm wrong.

Torn ligament in his thumb would be 8-12 weeks probably. Broken thumb would be 4-6.

A break is likely not in the equation, right? A break is pretty easily diagnosed, and with an x-ray, if that's what's suspected.

One would think. Most probable assumption is that they think the ligament is torn but they don't want to put him on the DL until they know for sure.
