I'd accept a split right now. Stros facing two good pitchers, minimum -- both are RH so maybe Singleton goes deep. The idea of Bregman at 1B might offset the loss at 3B. He'll be a better player there than what we have, but the player at 3B will be worse. Hopefully it ends up being a wash. Let's pray a rosary for LF defense and 3B defense and offense.
Hopefully Blanco gets a skippy. Astros should *not* wait until after this 18-game stretch. The other starters will be 4-game one more time and should survive since they're not showing fatigue. After that, the 6-man should help all of them. Neris has 3 days rest so he should be available 2 games minimum to help eat innings.
Hope we can split the series at least. Hard to expect more when the injury bug keeps biting the Astros time after time after time. We desperately need some bug spray.
Of course 3 wins would be great. But the O's are very good and the Astros are wounded with a semi-Bregman and zero Tuck.
Espada disrespects the bottom 3 by Gamel'ing !!! He probably is better though, so I have no major issue with it.
Orioles are just as wounded. They haven’t been winning as much last couple of months. Would love to get 3. 2 would be meh. 1 would be very disappointing.
Who are BAL's injuries? I don't think any team is as injured as Houston. For instance, if our rotation wasn't so MASH, we could've used the prospects for Kikuchi to attain another hitter. All the injuries are a chain reaction throughout the entire team. The bolded can be said for 90% of 4-gamers. That's why I said I'd take a split right now. We could lose or get swept too.
Well they lost 3 good SP’s to TJ and their prized young 3rd baseman broke his hand and is out for the season. Playing but with back problems is Adley Ruschman (and he’s not the same). They also lost Mateo. Yeah, this is precisely why they aren't winning at the same clip anymore. edit: also Eflin went down too. oh and they also recently lost their 7th and 8th inning bullpen guys. And we know Bautista is out with TJ too.
