Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 6-17 Brandon Backe, RHP (4-8, 5.00) vs. Garrett Olson, LHP (5-2, 4.53) 6:05 on FSN 6-18 Brian Moehler, RHP (3-3, 4.76) vs. Jeremy Guthrie, RHP (3-7, 3.71) 6:05 on FSN 6-19 Shawn Chacon, RHP (2-2, 4.69) vs. Brian Burres, LHP (5-5, 5.28) 6:05 on FSN
Wow, this has to be the quietest thread yet. 1-0 in the first anyway, so we have a decent start. Now let's get our season back on track by sweeping the stinky birds.
Woohoo, we're keeping up pace in our attempt to break the HR allowed record. Backe is our ace in this attempt.
This team is shameful. The defense is laxadaisical, like they just can't be bothered. The pitching is simply pathetic and the offense needs hitting with a big stick. I can see why no one has bothered to post. I think I might agree with the guy who said we'd lose 100 games, hard to see how we'll ever win a series again right now.
Wow, that at-bat by Blum was Ensberg-esque. Beautiful stuff. Love the way he stood and watched the third strike, brought back such amazing memories.
I hope you're not referring to me. Please note my first post was when we lead 1-0, I then posted a few more times and then just gave up, which was not connected to the score, it was connected to the fact I WAS TALKING TO MYSELF.
No...I am not referring to you. BrooksBall and cardpire (or whatever his name is) would be more along the lines of those to whom I am referring. Sorry for any confusion.
Okie dokie, no probs. Don't know where them guys are tonight. They rarely miss a full game. I'd wager BrooksTroll will turn up as we blow this lead in about 5 minutes time.
