But Dusty wouldn't put them in the lineup next to each other. Dusty was so illogical sometimes

#fvckthatdude ... stay away from Houston as long and as much as possible.
Worst thing that could've ever happened to this franchise...
2017 "scandal" >>> DB's "management/coaching" any day of the week and thrice on Sundays, and for damn sure any time at MMP (...every other knowledgable & intelligent fan of baseball knows every other ball club was utilizing an "edge" +/-2017)
...and apologists, please, spare me the: "well he got us another ring here, right"-- no, HE absolutely did not).
The Lunhow-Click moves did (and I'm sure there were some other *Hell yes* moments throughout the previous seasons... ex: DB booted from the TX game @ Arlington is one that I will not forget... who nutted up and made the right/smart moves to win that game: Espada.
I'm curious as to how we would've fared if ol Big Poppa Crane would've let Click control the narrative instead of MLB/DB...
DB "retired/rehired" and rode the coattails of all the talented people in the org (players included)-- and then ran them off. San Francisco, Washington, Houston... same ol' song & dance.

edit: ...and I am both extremely optimistic and faithful in what Espada can do for this ball club. I think we may see some comparisons and be reminded of those dominating years of managing a championship club* this season.
(leaving names out because I'm not trying to draw parallels)

*2015-2019... hell, before Hinch-- local yokel PhillyG was *that guy*... I trust Espada, I believe in his psyche & drive.

sorry, not sorry. just needed to let one more out. lockin' it up / throwin' the key.

Personally I wouldn't care as long as Maldonado is in there.

You wouldn't want MLB's worst player instead of (arguably) the greatest rookie season by catcher in MLB history?

Dallas celebrated... so should we. Texas mayne!!

    From Rotoworld (NBC Sports Edge):

“Justin Verlander (shoulder) said “I wouldn’t say there’s a better idea or not. We still got some time, obviously it’s tight, but things are progressing.” when asked by reporters if he would be ready for Opening Day.
Verlander threw a bullpen session on Saturday, but the veteran right-hander is still experiencing some shoulder soreness. He remains without a timetable to progress to facing hitters, and while there is still plenty of time left in camp, it wouldn’t be surprising if the veteran misses the start of the season.”

I would rather JV be ready at the end of the season than the beginning of the season. The days of JV making 35 starts and pitching 200 innings are probably long gone. But the days of him pitching 150-175 ace quality innings is certainly still in play.

Barry Bonds won 3 MVPs (+ a 2, 4 and 2 5's) as a skinny dude pre-roids, he was the best player in baseball...he got pissed during the McGwire/Sosa HR chase, and said "well, **** all yall, watch this"

    And we did.

I can't blame him anymore than I can blame anyone from 1930 to now.
