If they sign Cody Bellinger, I'll have to stop calling him Cody Bellend-ger.

I don’t want Bellinger. Screw that guy. Sorry, there are too many other ways to improve the team. Spend on someone else.

Bellinger would allow Houston to essentially platoon Singleton and Meyers. He’s a good fit in that sense.

Bellinger is a good fit and there aren't many CF options out there.

He better come kissing some serious butt, though.

Wouldn’t be upset to see Hayward and gamel again.

That's when you know we are in trouble. Those are the types of guys teams like the Reds and Rockies slot in.
Maybe Hayward as a low cost, solid backup. Definitely wouldn't want both of them though.

Agreed by all accounts, they both fit in well here, but there are minimal roster spots and neither can (or should) be expected to play extensively.

I would be fine with 1 of them as Long as the Astros brought in a new starting LF or CF and flipped Meyers and/or McCormick. No room for both. I would prefer Heyward because of his versatility, defense, and experience.

That he's probably not better than Jon Singleton at this point in his career.

Just looking at the available player landscape, the Astros are almost certainly gonna have to go big at 1B. The 3B market is a wasteland of mediocrity, and CF isn't exactly plentiful either.

I think Big Jon had a very solid OPS against RHP, especially in the 2nd half of the season.

There just aren't many impact players in the FA market and low supply means high prices.

The Astros will need to fill holes through trades or rebound candidates.

It will be an interesting off season.

They should trade Framber and possibly even Tucker. Even if that feels like a punt in 2025, it could be great 2026-2030+

Shirt if that, I think resigning Bregman, even at 7 and maybe 8 years depending on the AAV and structure, would be the smartest thing they could do.

So either they bring him back and lose Soto or lose Cole and bring back Soto.

They can afford one top guy like Walker and a guy like Conforto in FA.

I've got no problem with Big John as a bench bat and injury fill in.

Sign Walker and/or trade for Lowe. Also Robert is available in trade.
