Remember, no PBP in these threads and keep the chatter on topic (if it is about something other than this series, talk about it in another thread). 5-4 Brian Moehler, RHP (0-2, 27.00) vs. John Lannan, LHP (0-3, 4.61) 6:05 on FSN 5-5 Roy Oswalt, RHP (0-2, 3.82) vs. Scott Olsen, LHP (1-3, 6.08) 11:35 on FSN
The Natinals should be an easy couple of games. These are the Astros though, so I wont get too far ahead of myself thinking we'll take these games.
More to the point, it's baseball. Any team can win any one game. The Nats beat the Cardinals 6-1 on Saturday.
I never imagined the Astros would take two of three in Atlanta. A lovely, lovely development indeed. My brain predicts 1-1 this weekend. My heart hopes for 2-0.
WW... hold Dunn down and we should be fine. Lannan has promise, but he can certainly be hit right now
oh and i'll consider going to the game tomorrow, but it's the wrong time of year w/the Rockets and Caps in the playoffs!
I know it's only May 4 (standard disclaimer applies), but Adam Dunn looks really good. He's a legit MVP candidate if he can keep his average up even a little bit (which is a very big if obviously), even playing for the crappy Natinals. Some believe that Dusty Baker's constant attempts to change Dunn's approach had a tangibly negative result on his play:
I don't know how anyone can blame Dusty Baker here. He was only Dunn's manager last year, and Dunn's results were the same as the rest of his career.
thank you baseball schedule makers, an early east coast game so we don't have to miss the Astros game tonight!!!
yeah, it's been raining all weekend here.. and it's supposed to continue into the night. Tomorrow should be better, though I don't know if they'd be able to get 2 games in.
