    God bless the A’s.

Abreu looked so happy and relieved. Hopefully this gets him going. Those antics around the bases makes me like him a little more. Haha

This was a fun weekend of baseball.

It's a shame we have to go back to playing major league teams tomorrow. Hopefully this game popped the lid for these guys, even if it was against flunkies.

I think he's had his 2 bad outings, otherwise he's been like it was 2022.

Looks like I missed a helluva game. Seven homeruns. Wow! And, that Abreu homerun was funny as hell.

Astros 23-11 the last 34 games.

3 consecutive blow up losses by Montero in that span, otherwise we would be 26-8.

That's how well we've been playing for over a month.

Happy for the broomstick and gaining ground on Arlington

It only took Altuve to first homer for Abreu to first homer

    .891 ops batting second

.822 ops batting 8th, in way way less ABs. Try again?

I can hear Kotsay in the locker room now

"You guys couldn't even keep Abreu in the yard? What did I get myself into !!"

    National People not liking the
"10 runs in front of 10 fans" tween by the Astros account.

A big component of the numbers you cite is batted ball luck, like the difference between hitting a hard line out to CF and hitting a seeing eye single past the SS. When you control for that, it turns out he’s hitting much better batting 8th.

The claim that he performs best hitting second only stands to reason if it’s also true that he’s somehow able to control his batted ball luck when batting second but not in the other spots in the lineup…which doesn’t make much sense at all.
