I actually prefer Javier going in game 3. Framber and McCullers are so breaking ball heavy. Mix it up and let the Yankees get that invisible fastball from Javier and then back to the nasty breaking balls with McCullers. Plus, the bullpen should be good to go with a day off and having only used Neris, Montero, Abreu, and Pressly.
Do you actually think this is Dusty doing this on his own and not coming from the front office? Why the heck is this idiotic because you don't like it?
Dusty probably smashed the champagne bottle into McCullers' elbow so he'd have an excuse to start Javier in game 3. Idiotic Dusty.
Most of their championships happened with 10 teams in the AL and no free agency. Similar to Celtics run, there are far more teams and rules in place for parity now... Also have to consider a lot of their rings excluded minorities. Possible some negro league teams were better.
Yeah, he’s a gamer. I sometimes think I’d like to see more of Christian Vazquez for his bat, but he’s nowhere near the catcher Maldonado is. It’s not even close.
Depending on how the next two games go, why not go with Garcia or Urquidy for G5 to have JV and Framber ready (and rested) for games in Houston, if needed.
So when we are, we going to start talking about how bad ass Abreu has become? Is he just out of consideration for being a starter, and how long can we keep him on the cheap? How much value does he have as a trade chip?
Doesn't hit arbitration until 2024. Best case is he takes over the closer role for Pressly in a couple years. No way I'm trading him. He needs another pitch to be a starter.
I assume you cant move a DH to a position player mid game and thats why Vasquez doesnt DH. We wouldnt have a back up catcher. Might have made sense to add korey lee to roster instead of martinez so vasquez could DH
Great, so we still have him for 2 years cheap, and that's probably the best bet to make him a closer. I just remember that he was a starter when he came up.
