The rumors I had heard was a strategic decision because they didn't want to start McCullers on short rest this soon after his recovery. So Javier on short rest (if needed) is preferred and McCullers once. But available for a potential early WS appearance. I had not heard anything about a finger issue, though I wouldn't be surprised. Minor issues seem to be part of pitching and only serve to provide cover for strategic decisions. At least that is what I'm hoping.
Is the Tucker catch actually a controversy? What could even be the reasoning for a controversy on that catch? I saw the umps get together but I have no idea why. Wouldn't fan interference have kept Tucker from catching it, not helping him catch it? So confused? He made the damn catch whether there was interference or not. My assumption is Yankee fans and media are grasping at straws as usual but I want to make sure it is not a real controversy before calling them out.
Michael Kay is as insufferable a Yankee homer as humanly possible. Even he thinks the excuses are stupid.
I'd rather eat for a year than NOT watch a game in Minute Maid. Last game I attended was greatly disappointing. I couldn't see a thing or even follow the game against Baltimore. (around 2010 I think.) But if you can do it while you're young, I highly recommend it. Back a number of years ago, I attended quite a few games. I'd buy a nosebleed ticket for $7 in the Dome and move down a level every inning. They never checked tickets back then.
If the Astros had been responsible for the roof being open, it might be a slight controversy since Framber pitches better in open stadiums and the wind might've impacted the Judge non-homer. But it was MLB's call. So tough crap to both teams. You play in the conditions you're presented with.
Yankees are -150 favs tomorrow to win. If it's one game to win its that one. There won't be a game any higher than that this series for NY
So that is what they are complaining about? Why did the umpires convene after the Tucker catch? Both teams deal with the same wind. Judge hits 450 foot bombs like they are nothing. He didn't hit that one hard enough cause it was a good pitch. Tucker made a good play. End of story.
